MB-78EI with doors in classes EI15 to EI90
The MB-78EI system is used for creating internal or external fire-resistant partitions with single and double-leaf doors with fire resistance class EI 15, EI 30, EI 45, EI 60, or EI 90, according to standard PN-EN 13501-2:2010. Numerous tests and calculations have also proven that products made from this system have very good thermal insulation (Uf from 1.60 W/(m2K)) and acoustic insulation (up to 40 dB).
Due to its properties, optimized production technology and costs, compatibility with other ALUPROF window and door systems, and consistent technical development, it is a very popular product in its class and widely used in the construction market.
The construction of the MB-78EI system is based on thermally insulated aluminum profiles with a depth of 78 mm. They are characterized by a low heat transfer coefficient thanks to the use of special profiled thermal breaks 34 mm wide in their construction. The structure's resistance to high temperature is ensured by special fire insulation elements GKF or CI introduced into the internal chambers of the profiles and insulation spaces between the profiles, as well as steel accessories and connectors.
The thickness of fillings in the MB-78EI system ranges from 6 to 49 mm. Fillings can consist of all typical fire-resistant glass, as well as layered opaque elements composed of sheet metal and appropriate panels ensuring the required fire protection. Within this system, smoke-tight structures can also be achieved.
Available corner connections of partitions in the system, the possibility of bending profiles and building arched structures, as well as the use of diagonal ties and decorative muntins glued to the glass are features that affect the shapes and aesthetics of the installation.
The range of permissible construction dimensions includes fixed partitions with height up to 4 m and closing doors with leaf dimensions up to 1.4 x 2.5 m. MB-78EI system doors can be installed both individually, within larger glazed partition constructions, and in fire-resistant facades of MB-SR50EI and MB-SR50N EI systems. Large construction possibilities, freedom to choose various hinges, locks, door closers and other hardware, and optimized production technology are not the only advantages of this system. It also allows for the creation of automatically sliding MB-78EI DPA doors with fire resistance class EI15 or EI30, and is also the basis for muntin-free MB-78EI partition constructions, MB-118EI partitions, enabling fire resistance in class EI120.
The MB-78EI system is covered by ITB technical approval no. AT-15-6006/2016 and British certificate CERTIFIRE no. CF 5138
