OKNAL - MB-SLIDE

balcony door system
MB-SLIDE sliding

These systems are designed for creating sliding doors and windows with thermal insulation, which can be built into masonry walls, aluminum facades, winter gardens, or storefront installations made from elements of MB-59S or MB-59S Casement systems. Sliding doors, especially large ones, visually "expand" the living space by connecting it with an external terrace or garden.

The MB-Slide and MB-Slide ST sliding door systems offer great space arrangement possibilities: maximum leaf dimensions are: H: 2600 mm, W: 1800 mm, max weight 160kg, with various installation options available: from 2 to 6 modules. Glass units with thickness up to 26 mm can be used. These constructions also ensure very good technical parameters: plastic thermal breaks provide appropriate thermal insulation of aluminum profiles, and sliding seals in the form of brushes or TPE thermoplastic elastomer, as well as closing and glazing seals made of EPDM, enable high construction tightness.

The construction depth of leaf profiles is 37 mm (except for horizontal profiles in MB-Slide ST), and frames respectively: 50 mm (2-track rails) and 97 mm (3-track rails). The identical depth of basic 2-track frames of the MB-Slide system and frames of windows and doors of MB-59S, MB-59S Casement, MB-59S Pivot, and MB-59SE systems means that direct connection of products made from these systems is possible. Frames with depth other than 50 mm can be connected using a special reinforced intermediate mullion.

The main differences between MB-Slide and MB-Slide ST systems are: leaf profile construction and production and glazing technology. In MB-Slide, leaf profiles have a 3-chamber construction, they are cut at a 45° angle and connected using appropriate corner pieces, then the corners are crimped. Glazing of the leaf frame made this way is done using glazing beads and seals. In MB-Slide ST, leaf profiles have a 1-chamber construction, and they are connected by screwing vertical profiles to horizontal ones using appropriate screws. Glass installation occurs at the stage of connecting leaf profiles.

Both sliding door systems are largely compatible with other ALUPROF S.A. systems. Adopting such a design assumption allowed the use of many common profiles, accessories, and technological processes. All components of sliding door systems are manufactured according to applicable norms and standards.
