The presented system of folding doors with a thermal break is a modern construction of ALUPROF S.A., meeting the wishes and requirements of our clients: architects, investors and cooperating companies. The inward opening folding door structure can be made in the following window and door systems: MB-59S, MB-60, MB-70. The MB-59S Casement system allows for the production of outward opening folding doors.

The structural depth of the sections depends on the selected system and ranges from: 50 mm (frame), 59 mm (sash) for MB-59S and MB-59S Casement to 70 mm and 79 mm for MB-70, respectively.

The value of the heat transfer coefficient and acoustic insulation also depend on the aluminum system used.

Thanks to the appropriate profile structure and the use of processing templates, folding doors are characterized by very simple and quick prefabrication.

The sections of frames and sashes have profiled grooves of such dimensions that it is possible to use multi-point locking fittings and connectors in accordance with the EURO standard. The proven Roto hardware is installed in folding doors. The running rail of these fittings can be mounted on the top profile of the frame (Top hung) or at the threshold (Bottom hung). In individual systems, you can choose between different variants of thresholds and the ways of their installation.

Profiles are joined with minimal processing, using the supplied aluminum connectors and additional accessories. L-type corner joints are made by cutting the ends of the frame or sash profiles at an angle of 45 ° and crimping or pinning them and gluing them (using CORALGLUE 2-component glue) to the aluminum corners inserted into the internal chambers of the profiles. The use of glue guarantees high stiffness and tightness of the connection, while the corners allow to maintain the perpendicularity of the joined profiles. T-type transverse connections are made by pinning the lacings with inserted fasteners and gluing with CORALGLUE glue.

Glass, cover and central gaskets are made of EPDM synthetic rubber. Most gaskets are installed continuously, without clipping at the corners, joining the ends of the gasket halfway along the top crossbar. This type of glazing guarantees good water and air tightness. Central gaskets are cut at an angle of 45 ° and glued in the corners or at an angle of 90 ° and glued to the rubber corner.

Each structure of external development must have an effective system of water drainage and ventilation from the glass chamber and from the chamber between the leaf and the frame. Ventilation and drainage openings are covered with plastic covers from the outside.
